About Esuubi Café

Home of Uganda’s finest craft, cakes and coffee

Esuubi Café is an oasis of calm and great coffee on the long journey to and from some of Uganda’s prime tourist destinations. It offers the finest food, cakes, snacks and cookies in Uganda*, as well as the opportunity to view and buy local craft.

Situated just outside Mityana, it provides a perfect break point on journeys to destinations such as Kibale Forest, Queen Elisabeth National Park, Rwenzori National Park and Semuliki Wildlife Reserve. So whether you’re looking for somewhere to stop for full meal or just a quick drink and piece of cake, do drop in.

All profits from Esuubi Café support the work of Esuubi – a charity, which helps some of Uganda’s neediest children.

Ekiwumulo

In particular the profits from Esuubi Café contribute towards the running costs of Ekiwumulo.

Ekiwumulo Orphanage Village is a community designed to meet the physical, educational and emotional needs of some of Uganda’s neediest children. Built around the concept of family units, Ekiwumulo provides a safe environment and quality education.

Opened in 2008, Ekiwumulo offers orphans the opportunity to receive a high-quality education, giving them the tools to break free from the poverty cycle, whilst the community focus of the project allows children to develop an understanding of the family values that are so key to the Ugandan culture.

*Obviously that’s just our opinion – but if you look at the size of our bellies, you’ll be able to tell that it’s an educated opinion!
